Elisabeth Leyser sings Brangäne at Kulturhuset Spira

Mezzo soprano Elisabeth Leyser will reprise the role of Brangäne in Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde, which she last sung at Folkoperan in Stockholm, in two concert performances of the same production for Smålands Musik och Teater, at Kulturhuset Spira in Jönköping.

The production was first seen at Folkoperan in Stockholm in the Autumn of 2020, directed by Linus Tunström. Marit Strindlund conducts Jönköping’s Sinfonietta.

Elisabeth received rave reviews for her Brangäne from the Swedish press in 2020 - for example this from Aftonbladet:

"Elisabeth Leyser's Brangäne is something of a sensation. Her mezzo soprano voice is elastic, strong, and warm. This is from a singer who's just turned 26 years of age."
