Jake Muffett to sing 3 roles at Deutsche Oper am Rhein in the Autumn of 2020

Baritone Jake Muffett, who joins the opera studio of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf for the 2020-21 season, will sing 3 roles in the Autumn of 2020. He has his company premiere on the 30th September as Harry Frommermann in the Comedian Harmonists in Concert, a tribute and recreation of the legendary Berlin based harmony-singing ensemble of the interwar period.

Jake then goes on to sing Don Quijote in Manuel de Falla’s Meister Pedros Puppenspiel which opens in November. And on the 30th December he appears in the 3rd Act of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde as Steuermann.

Jake, widely regarded as one of the most promising baritones of his generation, completed his year of study at the National Opera Studio in London in the Summer of 2019, and has since sung with Welsh National Opera and Opera de Baugé, among others.
