Meeta Raval sings Gertrude for Opera Holland Park

Soprano Meeta Raval will sing the role of Gertrude in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel for Opera Holland Park in London this Summer.

The stage director is Kǎrin Hendrickson, and the conductor is John Wilkie.

This is Meeta’s first forray into this role - she sung the Witch while she was a student.

Meeta has sung Cio Cio San, Donna Anna, and 2 roles in newly composed operas for Welsh National Opera in the last couple of years. She has also appeared at Longborough Festival Opera and Leeds Opera Festival in works by Wagner and Holst. This Autumn she sings Bianca in Puccini’s La Rondine for Zurich Opera.
